USVI wins awards for Best Beach and Best Cruise Port in the Caribbean

The U.S. Virgin Islands was named the Best Beach in the Caribbean and the Best Cruise Port in the Caribbean in the Caribbean Journal Travelers’ Choice Awards for 2021. Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands was named the Best Caribbean Villa Destination 2021.

More than 53,000 votes were cast by Caribbean Journal readers in September and October, voting for their favorites in the Caribbean travel industry.

Culture And Tourism Month To Capture Hearts

The Department of Culture is preparing to celebrate the second annual Culture and Tourism Month in November under the theme “Our Heritage, our People, our Cultural Arts! When Culture meets Tourism, we Capture all Hearts.”

The Month is an important collaboration with several partners including the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, the Virgin Islands Communal Association (VICA), the Association for the Promotion of Arts and Culture (APAC), the BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association (BVICCHA), and the BVI Tourist Board and Film Commission.
